The Jan Theatre was opened on February 24, 1949 with Alan Ladd in “Beyond Glory”. It was still open in 1955 but had closed by 1956. It was remodeled and reopened as the Arcadian Cinema on June 14, 1979 with “Rocky II”. It became the Acadian Twin Cinema on May 22, 1980 and was closed in it closed in 1987. It was demolished in 2005.
