Sydney Hall

Located in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Opened 30th May 1912 by the Sydney Animated Picture Co., it seated just 430 persons. The manager of the hall at this time was Herbert M. Grice and by 1913 was managed by Mr J. Sydney Appleby the owner of Sydney Animated Picture Co. In December 1914 after a busy Christmas period Sydney Hall closed its doors for the final time the war was blamed for the closure. It as since been used for educational offices and now it stands in a very shabby state unused.
