In Gilford, County Armagh, the Dunbarton Cinema is listed in the 1953 Kinematograph Year Book as being operated by Dunbar McMaster & Co. Ltd. The Dunbarton Cinema was operated in 1963 by Eltico Mills Ltd. It had closed by 1966.
By September 2008 when my photograph was taken, the long closed cinema was rather incongruously, occupied side by side, by the Gilford Presbyterian Church Hall and the town’s public lavatories!
