Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theatre

This large screen format theater opened May 26, 1994 to present the seventy millimeter film “Zion: Canyon Treasure of the Gods”. The original film projector was disassembled and replaced with stacked Christie CP 2000 equipment and currently presents first run releases in addition to seasonal showings of “Zion: Canyon Treasure of the Gods”. The screen measures sixty feet high by eighty two feet wide making it the largest screen in southern Utah. It was closed January 13, 2017.

The Zoo Canyon rarely shows main stream motion pictures.

Actually, first-run films are now scheduled on their website.

There was a Zionville Drive-In listed in Springdale, Utah, in the 1957 Film Daily Yearbook.
