- Dec 3, 2013 — Studio M Theatre closed
The Studio M Theatre was located in the Valley Plaza and opened on September 15, 1968 with Doris Day in “Where Were You When the Lights Went Out?”. It was twinned in 1978 and a third screen was added in 1979. It closed in December 2013, a victim of competition from the NCG Midland Cinemas and the inability to convert to digital projection.
