Located in the Hirst district of Ashington, Northumberland. The Pavilion Variety Theatre was opened as a cinema in 1910. Seating was provided for 1,500-seats in stalls & circle levels. The proscenium is 28 feet wide and there is a large stage and fly-tower.
By 1931 it had been fitted with a British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound system. By 1933 it was operated by Wallaw Pictures Ltd.
In 1961 it began part-time bingo on certain afternoons & evenings and around 1967 it became a full time bingo club. It was a Gala Bingo Club in 2013, but around August 2018 it became an independent Hay Bingo Club, which closed on 11th November 2019. By November 2020 it had become The Fun Jungle play centre.
