The New Strand Theatre Theatre was opened around 1916. On September 22, 1922 a tragedy occurred killing 1 child and injuring 56 children when the floor of the vestibule collapsed into the basement. It seated 300 and was renamed Lincoln Square Theatre which closed in 1929. The building was still standing but in very poor shape and was demolished around 2017.
