The Pix Theatre opened around 1940. Recently I was watching Ken Burns' World War II documentary “The War”. It looks at World War II from the perspective of several American communities, including Luverne, MN. Several times the Pix Theater is mentioned. The Pix Theatre was still operating in 1950.
The building still exists in use as an antiques store and art gallery.
