Located on Deane Road at the corner of Fern Street. The Plaza Cinema was a conversion of the Fern Street Methodist Chapel. It was opened in 1927 by Lancashire County Theatres Ltd. By 1931 they had equipped it with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system. It had an 18 feet wide proscenium.

In January 1937 it was re-named Windsor Cinema. It was closed in April 1962 and became a bingo club. It has since been demolished and housing built on the site.

According to a very brief press cutting in the Cinema Theatre Association Archive, after closure as a cinema in April 1962 the Windsor opened as a full-time bingo club, with seating for 550 patrons. The cutting does not say when the club closed.
