Comedie Caumartin

Located in the north of the city centre, near the Paris Opera House. Opened in 1906 as a concert hall known as the Cover’s Club. In 1907 it became a theatre named Comedy Royal. It closed in 1913, and didn’t re-open until 1923. On 30th December 1932 it opened as a cinema named Comedie-Caumartin with Irene Dunne in “Back Street”. By 1946 it was re-named Cinerire Caumartin. Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels. It had closed as a cinema by 1955.

In 2014 the building is used as a comedy club named Comedie Caumartin.
