Located in the Madeleine district to the west of the Paris Opera. The Cinetran was built and operated by the Cineac chain as a newsreel theatre. It opened in 1935 in the basement of a building. Later re-named Cineac Madeleine, it was finally re-named Plaza and was still open in 1975, but had closed by 1985.
Since November 2017 it operates as a popular nightclub named ‘The Key’.
