Located in the Montparnasse district in the south of the city centre. The Maine Palace was opened on 12th October 1916. In 1930 it was taken over by Pathe and re-named Maine Pathe. Later re-named Maine Left Bank, followed by Maine Rive-Gauche.

In its final years it was operating as an adult porn cinema renamed Maine Montparnasse. It was closed in 1981 and has since been demolished to build a new building on the site.
