Rio Cinema

Opened in 1910 under the name Jourdan Cinema due to the proximity of the Place Jourdan in Etterbeek. The cinema on the opposite side of the road was the Rixy Cinema(former Continental Cinema).

In 1937 it change name to Omnium Cinema for a few years then Rio Cinema under the direction of Soudan circuit. It closed in 1976 with the longest career of exploitation in Etterbeek.
