The McPherson Cinema 3 was referred to in the Hutchinson News as early as 1996 and by 2001 it was listed as McPherson Cinema 4.

B & B Theatres completed an all-digital installation in September of 2011. It was taken over by VIP Theatres in November 2019. By 2024 it was operated by an independent operator.
