The Austin Business Journal reported on the opening of the Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane on March 22, 2012. Robert Rodriguez, Austin filmmaker, was in attendance along with Alamo Drafthouse CEO, Tim League.
Among the eight screens and 800 seats is a small 32-seat theatre for private parties. It also features a stand-alone cocktail bar called The 400 Rabbits, which refers to an Aztec legend.
