Located in the south end of the former Westgate Mall that has been re-configured. The AMC Westgate 8 was opened December 12, 1986. On May 26, 1989 it was taken over by Presidio Theatres/Act III Theatres It expanded to 11 screens on September 3, 1999 with 2,657-seats.

This was opened by AMC Theatres on December 12th, 1986 with 8 screens. It was later sold to Presidio, ACT III, Regal Cinemas and now Cineworld. Grand opening ad in the photo section.

Please update, total seats 1,101 and it was taken over by Presidio Theatres/Act III on May 26, 1989 when it took over 5 AMC locations. AMC didn’t return to Austin when it acquired Battle Creek from General Cinema
