The Savoy Skelmanthorpe in July 2003

Located in Skelmanthorpe, 8 miles southeast of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. The Savoy Cinema opened in 1934 and had an RCA sound system. In 1961 wrestling was introduced but films ceased in 1968 and the building became a bingo hall until 1970. It was unused for 5 years before being converted into a sports centre, which it remains today.

Converted intoa sports club opening in june 2010. There is also a cafe.
