Located in the west central Berlin district of Charlottenburg at the corner of Schluterstrasse and Pestalozzistrasse. The Schluter Lichtspiele was opened in 1912 with 369 seats and was designed by architect Gregor Heyer. The building was damaged by allied bombs during World War II, but re-opened on 8th June 1945.
It was later renamed Filmkunst Studio im Schluter with 305 seats. It later reverted back to its original name and was a popular cinema screening revivals such as Marx Brothers films. It was closed in 1997 due to the economics of rent rises and other costs.
