Located in the Howland Center district to the east of Warren, OH. The Drive-In was opened on May 2, 1941 with Penny Singleton in “Blondie has Servant Trouble”. It was renamed LaVerne Drive-In in 1947 when it was operated by C.D. Clark. In 1950 it was renamed Howland Drive-In and was operated by D. Albright and Co-Operative Theatres of Ohio.
It was still open in the 1980’s.

This drive-in is the oldest drive-in theater in Eastern Ohio, opening on May 2, 1941 with Penny Singleton in “Blondie Has Servant Trouble” along with a few short subjects.
It first opened as simply “Drive-In Theatre”. It was later renamed the LaVerne Drive-In in 1947, and finally the Howland Drive-In in 1950.
Still open in the 1980s.
