The theatre opened on Friday, November 18th, 2011 with screenings of:
“Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” “Puss in Boots” “Happy Feet 2” “Idles of March” “Footloose”
The theatre was named for The Nordica Theatre-a single screen that was in town years ago.

Closed in March 2020. Reopened for a Festival in April 2022 and closed again.
