The Stardust Drive-In was opened in 1952. It was operated by R.I. Payne of Frontier Theatres Inc. By 1959 it was screening Mexican movies and was still open in 1995.

A closer street address is 2334 Milam St. In 1995, the screen and projector booth/concession stand was still up. Today, there is only the foundations of the screen and booth/stand left along with the ramps. https://goo.gl/maps/cDtQp
it was still open in 1995!
No trace of the drive in remains. A housing development has begun on the property.
It was closed in the late 1990s. The screen and marquee were removed in the early 2000s, but traces and the concession building was left attached until 2017, and the entire drive-in was gone.
In fairness, the housing development has not yet removed all traces of the drive-in from the property. As of a May 2022 Street View, you can still see some of the ramps on the north side.
However, once the housing development is complete it will wipe out any traces of the drive-in.
To narrow down the opening date, the Stardust was in the 1952 Theatre Catalog, owner R. I. Payne with Theater Enterprises, with a capacity of 450.
And it looked ready for a show in the USGS photo from April 1953 that I just uploaded.
