Located in Guane, in Pinar del Rio province. Sala Parra was the first theatre to open in Guane. Other theatres La Lira Cinema and the 450-seat Cine Dalia followed. All are now closed.
In 1971 the Institucion Cultural de Guane built, containing the modern Centro Cultural de Cinema, equipped with 35mm projoectors

Guane is the westernmost traditional municipality in the Island, its seat the only considerable populated town.
