Located in the city centre, and adjacent to the Astor Cinema, the Palladium Cinema was opened in 1920. Two big hits in 1952 were Richard Widmark in “Don’t Bother to Knock” & Michael Rennie in “Les Miserables”. It was closed in 1954.
