Concord Drive-In marquee

The Concord Drive-In sat on the east side of the Merrimack River on Black Hill Road off Manchester Street. It was opened on July 27, 1950 with Jon Hall in “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” & Bud Abbott & Lou Costello in “Pardon My Sarong”. The drive-in was owned and operated Lockwood & Gordon Enterprises. By 1957 it was operated by Daytz Theatre Enterprises Corp. It was later operated by SBC Management.

The drive-in managed to stay open well into the 1980’s before it was subsequently closed at the end of the 1984 season and was demolished.

Today, the surrounding forest has growing into the drive-in, but you can still see some of the ramps peeking out from the trees.
