The Twin Drive-In East & West was opened on September 22, 1966. I have an advertisement from the Windsor Star dated October 9, 1971 for both the Twin East Drive-In and Twin West Drive-In theatres that I would like to post. It was taken over by Famous Players on June 26, 1981 and renamed Famous 4 Drive-In. It was closed on September 2, 1989.

As indicated above by Mike Rivest, this was originally with 20th Century Theatres as the Twin Drive-In, then later went to Famous Players as the Famous 4 Drive-In after Famous Players absorbed 20th Century’s operations.

Is HWY 98 known as something else now? I’m not getting it to map on Google Maps.

A closer address is 4611 Walker Rd, Windsor, ON N8W 3T6, Canada.

This is the address of the SilverCity Windsor Cinemas which is located at the intersection of Walker and Essex County Rd 4 or Provincial Road. There is no trace of the drive in remaining.

This was known as Twin East & Twin West Drive-In, but was last known as Famous 4 Drive-In when two more screens were added for both theaters in June 1981. Famous Players was its operator at the time, and closed on September 2, 1989.
