Located in the Oxford district to the southeast of Anniston, AL., just off Highway 78 at 431 at the Blue Pond Plaza. Fairlane-Litchfield opened the single screen Cheaha Cinema on September 15, 1971 with Brian Keith in “Scandalous John”. It was twinned on June 17, 1977 screening Bo Svenson in “Final Chapter:Walking Tall” & Burt Rynolds in “Smokey and the Bandit”. In 1985 it became a triple screen theatre. It was taken over by United Artists on June 1, 1987. Closed on September 4, 1989.
