Rottnest Island Picture Hall opened in the 1930’s and the outdoor picture garden in the 1950’s. Screenings in the hall and gardens ceased in the 1960’s.
Screenings were revived in the school holidays in 1989. Screenings still happen daily today.

The picture theatre building is to the right of Brand Way (about where the truck is in the background of the Streetview photo). The mini golf is just to the right of the sign(in tbe foreground of the above Streetview photo), the visible roof is where the video games arcade is(and ticket office, and snack bar?).
