The Wembley Theatre and Gardens opened in 1937. The Wembley Theatre and Gardens closed in(1962?) In 1962 The theare building was converted in a building known as Wembley Lodge, and the Gardens demolished for a car park for the lodge.
Wembley Lodge was gutted by fire on 16th September 1980, and when rebuilt contained little of the interior of the original theatre, though the facade was still clearly recognisable. Wembley Lodge might have been where the Dirty Dick’s Theatre restaurant was before it closed down. The building is now a Lifecare aged care services building(Wembley branch).
