Located on the southwest corner of Hay Street and Rokeby Road. The Regal Picture Gardens opened on 22nd January 1938 with “Oh Doctor” and “Knight Without Armour”. It was not long after the Regal Theatre had opened across the road in 1937. The Regal Picture Gardens closed in June 1971 with “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea(made in 1954), and was demolished one Sunday in June 1973. There is a picture of the demolition on the front cover of the book "Paddy Baker Picture Show Man” showing Paddy Baker(1898-11/8/1988) watching the demolition of the Regal Picture Gardens. The site of the theatre is now shops.
