The Whiting Theatre was opened on April 4, 1922. Around 1935 it was renamed Teepee Theatre. It was still open in 1957 and was last known as the Orpheum theatre which closed in 1982 due to structural problems. In November 1983 the weight of snow on the building collapsed the roof and the east wall. By 1990, the undamaged front part of the building had become a bar named One Eyed Jack’s. It too has since been demolished.
