General Cinema Corp. opened the Cinema I-II-III at Galvez Plaza on June 27, 1973. The opening attractions were “Paper Moon", “Scarecrow” and “Oklahoma Crude".

When the Galvez Plaza Cinema closed on August 31, 1992, there was still a General Cinema at Baybrook Mall.
