Located in the Batley Carr district of Batley, West Yorkshire. Collins Cinema was opened on 13th September 1920 with “Sahara” starring Louise Glaum. It was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system on 26th May 1930 and screened its first ‘talkie’ “Broadway Melody”. Occasional variety shows were part of the programme into the late-1930’s.

Collins Cinema was closed 1958/1959 and was re-built as a church.
