Located in the north city centre. The two-screen Curzon Twins was opened on 8th August 1968. It was designed by architectural firm Henry J. Lyons & Partners. It was an art-house cinema, and closed in 1988 when it was purchased by Arnotts department Store.
It was leased to independent operators and re-opened as the Lighthouse Cinema, again programming art-house films. The Lighthouse Cinema was closed on 28th September 1996, and was demolished in 1999 to build a new department store on the site.
