Phoenix Theatre

Located behind the Pine Tree Shopping Mall, the Pine Tree 9 was originally operated by Kerasotes. In 2005, Carmike took over and it was renamed Pine Tree Mall Cinema. It was closed in June 2015.

A local group of businessmen received an economic development loan from the city of Marinette to reopen the theatre. Lance Olson was resposible for reopening the theatre as the Phoenix Theatre on November 16, 2015. Initially only 4 auditoriums were in use until sometime in early-2018 when a 5th screen was brought into use. By 2019 it was operating with 8-screens. The Phoenix Theatre is currently owned by Paul Boyce, Joe Veriha, Karen Smerchek & Barry Berquist, all wealthy local business people.
