The Sky View Auto Theatre opened on September 11, 1947, screening the 1946 musical “Thrill of Brazil” with Keenan Wynn, Evelyn Keys and Ann Miller. It was opened by Lawrence Black. Co-Op Theatres of Ohio was the buying and booking agency. It featured 10 parking ramps that could park 400 cars with by-car speakers. The screen tower was advertised has being 20ft off the ground and 30ft x 40ft in size. In May of 1960 the Sky View Auto Theatre was sold to George Anas and Thomas Anas from Weirton, WV (dba Weir-Cove Enterprises). They were already operating the Super 30 Drive-In in East Liverpool and the Hilltop Drive-In in Chester, WV.
The Sky View Auto-Theatre finally closed at the end of the season in 1978. The property was redeveloped for commercial use.
A new Skyview Cinema I & II was opened at 15937 OH-170 in 1980 and operated by Thomas Anas, has its own page on Cinema Treasures.

The Skyview Twin Cinema was built at the former drive-in’s site. This was the only drive-in in East Liverpool.
