Located in the north Melbourne district of Brunswick. The Empire Theatre was opened in 1911. By 1946 it was operated by Bourke Theatres Property Ltd. and they still operated it in 1960. By 1968 it was operated by Cosmopolitan Motion Pictures and was screening foreign films. It was closed by 1982.
