In the small South Gloucestershire town of Yate, to the north of Bristol, the Cineworld opened on 29th April 2016.
It is the anchor tenant in a new retail and leisure park called Riverside (alongside the River Frome) that was launched in September 2014. On 26th July 2024 it was announced that the Cineworld would be closing, and it closed on 13th October 2024 due to financial problems at Cineworld.
In May 2025 plans were approved to convert the building into an Aldi supermarket.
