The Starlight Drive-In was opened on April 10, 1953 with Brian Donlevy in “Slaughter Trail”. It was operated by Pirtle Ct. based in the Orpheum Theatre, Jerseyville. It was still open in 1977. The site became Beardstown Truck Wash. By 2019 it was Parks Livestock.

“The Starlite (sic) at Beardstown, Ill., was closed while repairs were made to the screen tower, following damage by a high wind. The Starlite is owned by the Pirtle company.” — Boxoffice, June 13, 1960
Launched April 10, 1953 with the feature, “Slaughter Trail.” Still in business in 1977.
The site is now Parks Livestock and it appears the concession building still exists but its been redeveloped into some kind of holding pen for livestock.
