Located on the northeast corner of Forrest Street & Atkinson Street. Tivoli Gardens first showed movies in October 1908. The Tivoli Theatre first screened movies in September 1912. Movie screenings ceased on 22nd November 1929. The Tivoli Theatre was then for boxing and wrestling matches and dancing and a skating rink. The Tivoli was put up for auction on 19th June 1930, but it didn’t reach the reserve. The Tivoli Gardens was demolished(date unknown?), and the site became the bottle shop for the Commonwealth Hotel(now Club Hotel). Unknown if the Tivoli Theatre building is still there?
