The Kendallville Drive-In was opened by 1952 when it was operated by Robert L. Hudson of Hudson Entertainment Inc. based in Richmond. Around 1953 they renamed it Hi-Vue Drive-In. It was still open in 1974. Now Snyder Food Services.

Google Maps and Historic Aerials do not like that address. If you use 3273 N Old State Road 3, Kendallville, IN 46755 you’ll hit right on the former Drive-In, now occupied by Snyder Food Services – Uncle Don’s Cookies.

Original screen destroyed by a storm on July 27, 1956.

A 1983 aerial view shows the drive-in with its screen and glory, appearing to be in good shape, but was already closed by 1986, as that year’s aerial view shows the screen being removed.
