Closed September 1st, 2019 and the screens demolished in late November 2019 reports La Relève https://www.lareleve.qc.ca/2020/04/20/cine-parc-boucherville/
The executives of Cineplex, the largest theater operator in Canada, have made the decision to put an end to the activities of the Boucherville open-air cinema for good.
The company, which is headquartered in Toronto, had the two screens on Eiffel Street destroyed last fall without fanfare or trumpet, and there are no plans to erect new structures to replace them.
“The drive-in will not be back this spring,” confirms communications director Sarah Van Lange. We thank the community for their support over the years and we hope to welcome them to our venues located in neighboring municipalities and neighborhoods. "
The latter also claims that the tragedy that occurred last July, when a four-month-old baby died after being hit by a car, had no impact on the decision to close the outdoor cinema.
“I can confirm that we had it all planned out a while ago,” she responded to the question raised by La Relève. Remember that the company also operates the cinemas of the Cineplex Odeon Boucherville Cinema, which is closed while the COVID-19 crisis lasts.
Van Lange says her company will reopen its cinemas as soon as the government approves a resumption of activities.
Ciné-Parc Boucherville has been showing films during the summer season since 1974. Following its closure, five drive-ins remain in operation in Quebec, namely those of Orford, Saint-Eustache, Saint-Hilaire, Val Morin as well as than the Paradiso in the Chandler region, in the Gaspé.

Opened with on screen 1 with “Mon nom est personne(My name is nobody)” and “Iheritier(The Inheritor)” and on screen with “La bataille de la planete des singes(Battle for the planet of the apes)” and “Notre de agent Salzbourg(Salzburg our agent)”.
Mike Rivest makes the point elsewhere, but in case the reader starts on this page we should note that this is not the Ciné-Parc Boucherville that opened in 1970 and lived on the west side of the Boulevard de Montarville before closing in 1985.
