The Gay Drive-In was opened on May 27, 1949 when it was operated by Gay Hower. The opening movie was Glenn Ford in “The Return of October”. Gay Hower was still the operator in 1955. It was still open in 1984, but had closed and was demolished by 1991. Now the lot next to Harvey’s Signs.
