Located in Charlestown, County Mayo. The Eureka Cinema was a conversion of a private house and opened in late-1939 although it does not appear in the Kine Year Books until 1949. It was owned by the Mulligan family, including Paddy who owned two Estoria cinemas, one in Ballina, the other in Galway. A man called John Irwin went around the town shortly before screenings drumming up business, while at the cinema the loudspeakers played “Where the Shannon River Meets the Sea” by the Irish tenor John McCormack. Simplex projectors were installed later BTH. It closed in 1967 and has since housed a workshop and a furniture store but in 2003 there were plans to build apartments on the site.

One source states the cinema was still operating until 1967. The County Council bought the property in 1968 to use as a factory to process industrial waste but sold it again in 1976.
