Despite its strip-mall location, this was THE preeminent arthouse cinema for the university crowd. It got the first-run foreign films before the Plaza Theatre in Petaluma.

I saw my first Fellini (“City of Women”), Fassbinder (“Veronika Voss”), and Verhoeven (“Spetters”) there. I also remember seeing “The Valley Obscured By Clouds,” and “Coup de Torchon.” A few doors down, there was a video store with a decent foreign selection.

I remember this cinema fondly and have a memory of seeing Children of a Lesser God there among others with my amazing mom.
