The Cine-Teatro Dante was opened in 1928. Seating is provided in orchestra and balcony levels. It was closed in 1986 and was taken over by a church from 1987 to 1992. It then became a parking garage, then a warehouse until 2005.

It was taken over by new owners in 2009 and re-opened as a live theatre on 5th July 2012 with a production of a Rock version “Macbeth”. It had closed by 2016.
