The Hamilton Drive-In opened May 5, 1955 with Kathryn Grayson in “Kiss Me Kate” & Audie Murphy in “The Red Badge of Courage”. It was located on Stone Church Road W. at the corner of Upper Paradise Road, 1 mile west of Upper James. It played first and second run films there until closing on October 13, 1985 with Marin Cheech & Tommy Chong in “Things Are Tough All Over” & James Farentino in “Blue Thunder”, Its closure left the Starlite Drive-In in Stoney Creek as the only drive-in the Hamilton area.
