Originally the Teatro Nazionale (1848), it was converted into a dance hall in 1909. It was converted into the Cinema Nazionale in 1913 to the plans of architect Antonio Vandone di Corterniglia. It was re-modeled in 1946 by architect Ottorino Aloisio and again in 1953 by architect Vittorio Valletti.
In 1992 it was converted into a twin screen cinema with seating for 308 & 179.
