The Luna Theater opened on Saturday August 17, 1912 owned by Joseph Heim at a cost of $17 000. Bought in 1924 by the Comerford Theater Co., it was taken over by Paramount-Publix in May 1930 and renovated in 1931 with the name changed to Ritz Theater. It returned to Comerford on January 1, 1933. Destroyed by a fire on Monday October 7, 1935. The ruins were demolished and the Capitol Theater was built in the same place in 1936.

Paramount-Publix took over the theater in May 1930, but Comerford took it back on January 1, 1933.
