The article referenced above states the theatre “will be renamed “The Capitol Theatre” in honor of the original Capitol Theatre, which was opened in Niagara Falls in 1926.”

This theatre is closing after the final shows 1/5 as a rejected lease from Cineworld’s bankruptcy. This opened as the Regal Hollywood 12 on December 17th, 1999.
