It opened on April 25th, 1951 as the Sterling Theatre and renamed Theatre in Sterling on July 12th, 1968 and renamed Sterling again on June 4th. 1971. It reopened as the Sterling I & II by Carisch Theatres on June 14th, 1972 and became the Sterling 3 on March 21st, 1986. It was later taken over by Carmike Cinemas and Cinemagic Theatres in 2003 and closed in January 2004.
